(Ivan Head Stadium, Santa Fe, N.M.)

Internet has been spotty at best so please be patient

SANTA FE, N.M. --- First Drive (1:00 p.m.) - The potential starting offensive opened the game with a short drive that was highlighted by an first-down reception by Chris Hernandez from Donovan Porterie. Hernandez showed some nice moves and picked up the only first down. Adam Miller took the first punt of the game.

Second Drive (1:10 p.m.) - Second team offensive was led by running back James Wright and quarterback Brad Gruner. The offense stalled due to the pressure by the defense.

Third and Fourth Drives (1:20-30 p.m.) - The defense stepped up and shut down the offenes. Linebacker Clint McPeek had an unassisted sack to highlight the show.

Fifth Drive (1:35 p.m.) - TOUCHDOWN -The No. 1 offense drove the length of the field for the first touchdown of the game. Porterie hooked up with Jermaine McQueen and Roland Bruno through the air and used the running game of Ferguson to find pay dirt. Ferguson dashed eight yards for the first touchdown.

Minutes later, the No. 1 offensive struck again on a pass from Porterie to tight end Mitch Straub. Straub caught the pass in the back of the end zone on a roll out play.

After a silver fumble, Paul Baker and the Cherry squad added their third touchdown of the second quarter. Baker blasted his way up the middle and scored to make it 21-0 Cherry with minutes remaining the half.
