EVANSTON, Ill. -- Three Wildcat divers are set for NCAA Zone C competition this weekend, Friday through Sunday, March 14-16, in Columbus, Ohio, with hopes of qualifying for the NCAA Championships.

Fifth-year senior Leanne Dumais (Ventura, Calif./Buena) from the women's squad and senior Ryan McIntosh (Louisville, Ky./Trinity) and junior Alex Kiaie (Milwaukee, Wis./Nicolet) from the men's team will represent the Wildcats at the meet.

All three divers will compete in the 1-meter, 3-meter and platform events, with a complex formula of combined scores determining who moves on to the NCAA Championships. Approximately 90 divers from 24 schools are in the Zone C field.

Dumais is coming off the best Big Ten Championships of her career, reaching the finals of both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. She set a season-best score of 315.75 on the 3-meter to finish fifth while she earned a seventh-place finish on the 1-meter. She is the first NU diver to reach the finals on both boards.

McIntosh has Northwestern's top scores of the year in all three events, qualifying to dive again in the consolation finals of the 3-meter and platform at the Big Ten Championships. He finished 11th place overall in both of those events.

Kiaie scored points for NU at the Big Ten meet in all three events, taking 12th place overall at the 3-meter and platform heights.
