2008 Mountain View Collegiate Final Results (PDF)

TUCSON, Ariz. -- Junior Jennifer Hong (Windermere, Fla./The First Academy) shot a three-over 75 on the final day as Northwestern finished 14th at the 10th annual Mountain View Collegiate in Tucson, Ariz. Her three-round score of 228 (81-72-75) put her in a tie for 43rd-place.

NU began the day in a 12th-place tie, but shot a combined 310 in the final round to fall back to 14th. Senior Katie Trachok (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) shot a 78 on the day, finishing on stroke behind Hong with a three-round score of 229. Freshman Rebecca Lederhausen (Hinsdale, Ill./Hinsdale Central) also shot a six-over 78 and finished the weekend at 231.

Freshman Kelsey Lindenschmidt (West Chester, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) finished a stroke back of Lederhausen at 232, while senior Brittany Johnston (Akron, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) was seven strokes behind Hong at 235. Northwestern finished three strokes back of 13th-place Kansas State.

Indiana took home the 2008 title, shooting a combined 291 in the final round to finish nine strokes ahead of San Jose State. Texas Tech and Oklahoma finished in a third-place tie at 891, while fifth-place Missouri was a stroke back at 892.

Up next for the Wildcats is a trip to Carmel, Ind., to compete in the Indiana Invitational on April 7-8. Northwestern finished sixth at the event last season. First two rounds are scheduled for Monday, April 7, with the final round on Tuesday, April 8.
