ATHENS, OH - For the third consecutive year, Ohio Athletics and the Ohio University Sports Administration & Facility Management program are teaming up to present the 2008 Bobcat Blitz -- a series of fun and entertaining events surrounding the Ohio football team's Green & White Spring Game. 

The 2008 Bobcat Blitz -- presented by Follett's University Bookstore -- commences at 8:30 a.m. on April 26 with the first of its headlining events, the third annual Gridiron Gallop 5k Run/Walk.  The race will begin at Peden Stadium's 50-yard line and lead participants along a scenic course on the Ohio University campus and alongside the Hocking River.  Participants will receive an official race t-shirt and goody bag and refreshments will be provided compliments of Kroger.

The day's festivities continue with the 2^nd annual 64-team cornhole tournament at 11 a.m. in Pepsi Tail-Great Park.  This year, all participants will receive an official 2^nd annual cornhole tournament t-shirt and prizes include Chipotle Burritos and a free set of OU cornhole boards. 

As an added value to fans, KidFest will be providing fun for children of all ages from 10am until 2pm in the Convocation Center and Pepsi Tail-Great Park.  The day's festivities come to a head as the Ohio football team takes the field at 2 p.m. in the annual Green & White Game in Peden stadium.
