Green & White Rosters

ATHENS, Ohio-Saturday will be a big day on the Ohio University campus as several events dot the schedule in conjunction with the annual Green and White game that is scheduled for 2 p.m. in Peden Stadium.

The day kicks off with the third annual Gridiron Gallup Run/Walk at 8:30 p.m. at Peden. The scenic course takes participants on a course starting at the 50-yard line of the stadium. All participants will receive a complimentary goody bag and official race T-shirt. Registration opens at 7 a.m.

At 10 a.m., the 21^st annual Kidfest celebration takes place in the Convo, while Pepsi Tailgreat park opens at the stadium.

At 10:30 a.m., the Bobcat Blitz Silent Auction will begin in the Peden Stadium parking lot and will consist of Ohio Bobcat and professional sports memorabilia.

The second annual 64-team Cornhole Tournament will begin at 11 a.m. in Pepsi Tailgreat park, while the third annual Rufus' Run will commence at halftime of the spring game for kids 12 and under.

Following the game, the Ohio football team and coaches will sign autographs for approximately 30 minutes on the field.

Pertaining to the spring game itself, the contest will consist of four 12 minute quarters with the timing left to the discretion of the Bobcat coaching staff. Halftime will be 15 minutes in length. Kickoffs will begin each half and the first four punts will come against a live punt block/return unit. Any punts after that will feature just the snapper, punter and a return man making a fair catch in order to determine field position.

The game can also be heard locally on WXTQ 105.5 FM with Warren Swain and Chad Brinker calling all the action.

Representatives from the ticket office will also be on hand at Gate 1 for fans interested in purchasing 2008 football season tickets.

The Ohio softball team will also face Western Michigan at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ohio Softball Field.
