Tucker Wins Third Straight But Ohio Loses at UB
 

 
 
 

 
Clay Tucker won his third straight dual bout at Buffalo.

Buffalo, N.Y. - Ohio's Clay Tucker won his third straight dual meet bout, defeating Buffalo's Jon Cummings by a 4-1 decision, but the Bobcats struggled as team, falling 24-9 to the Bulls in their third MAC dual this season.

 

Germane Lindsey secured his 15th win of the season and evened his record in dual competition at 7-7 with a 5-3 decision against UB's Andrew Stella. Stella was 8-2 in his last 10 matches before losing to Lindsey.

 


 

 

Quentin Keyes won the first of Ohio's three victories, taking down Buffalo's Joe Wilson with an 8-2 decision. Wilson was also 8-2 in his last 10 matches before losing to Keyes. Keyes improved his overall record to 8-10 with a 4-6 mark in dual meets.

 

All 10 matches resulted in three-point decisions other than Buffalo's Dan Bishop's pin of Heath Allen in 1:49 at 125 pounds. Bishop earned six team points with the fall.

 

The action started at 184 pounds, with Buffalo's Mickey Moran adding to his prodigious win total by defeating Ohio freshman Erik Schuth 4-1. Moran has now won 28 matches this season, ranking him tied for seventh in the nation according to NCAA statistics.
