ATHENS, Ohio - Tomorrow is Senior and Alumni Day at the Ohio Softball Field.

Before the Bobcats face off with Toledo, seniors Alicia Catlette, Maureen McKelvey, Amanda Sacks, Kristen Salvatore, Michelle Sauter and Courtney Waters will be honored.

In addition, the Bobcats will celebrate their reach tradition with Alumni Day. Notable alumni in attendance will be Natalie Armstrong (2004-07), Maghan Lunsford (2003-06), Shannon Weidner (2003-06), and Debbie Szalejko (2004-07).

2008 Senior Class
Courtney Waters
Sometimes called the fastest player Ohio has ever seen, Courtney Waters finishes her career on Ohio's all-time career runs, walks and stolen bases lists. Waters is sixth all-time with 89 runs scored, fourth with 55 career walks, and fifth with 40 steals. This season, Waters set a new single-season record with 41 runs scored, while also holding single-season records with 22 walks in 2008 and 14 steals in 2005. Altogether, she has played in 188 games, tallies 133 hits, 37 RBI, and two home runs in her four-year tenure. In 2007, Waters was named second-team All-MAC.
 

 

Amanda Sacks
Amanda Sacks has played in 172 games in her four years with the Bobcats. She has the most sacrifice hits and assists then any player this decade and ends her career with 46 runs scored, 77 hits, 25 walks and 39 RBI. Last season, Sacks was given the Wendy Fox Award by the team for exhibiting the most strength and drive to succeed.

Alicia Catlette
With 197 career games under her belt, Alicia Catlette has played the seventh most games than any Bobcat player ever. She also places top-10 in the Ohio record book with 50 walks, including a No. 6 spot on the single-season list with 22 walks in 2006. As a junior, Catlette earned her first MAC award after being named to the All-MAC First Team. Catlette's career totals include 62 runs, 107 hits, 11 doubles, three home runs, 22 stolen bases and 46 RBI.

Michelle Sauter
Pitcher Michelle Sauter wraps up her career as Ohio's all-time leader in strikeouts and wins. Sauter has struck out a program-best 404 batters in her career and has won 46 games. She is also tied for the first place in the Bobcat record book for most appearances made with 139. She has pitched a total of 635.1 innings with a current career ERA of 2.25, which is top-10 all-time. Sauter has pitched 14 completes game, and is tied second all-time with 11 career shutouts. She also holds 14 single-season records.

Maureen McKelvey
The 2008 season has been one of the best for the senior Maureen McKelvey. She hit the first home run of her career and has followed with two more, including yesterday's walk-off home run in the bottom of the fifth. McKelvey has played in 180 games in her career and totals 43 runs, 94 hits, 11 doubles and 37 RBI.

Kristen Salvatore
Kristen Salvatore has played in 160 games and has started 97 in her career at Ohio. Salvatore has scored 47 runs, including 21 in 2007 and 15 in 2008. Salvatore totals 67 hits, including nine doubles and two home runs. She has been walked 21 times and has 39 career RBI.
