Player Profile

Position:
Assistant Coach

No stranger to high levels of collegiate women's volleyball, Meghan Keck brings expertise in setter training and development to the Ohio volleyball staff. She will also serve as the Bobcats' recruiting and travel coordinator.

Keck comes to Ohio after spending the last two seasons as an assistant coach at DePaul University, a member of the BIG EAST conference. During her tenure, she held the same duties as she assumes at Ohio, specializing in setter development and overseeing the recruiting and travel aspects of the program.

Prior to joining the DePaul staff, she was a volunteer assistant on the 2005 Northwestern coaching staff that guided NU to the second round of the NCAA Championship. Ohio head volleyball coach Ryan Theis was an assistant and the recruiting coordinator on the same staff.

Keck's coaching experience also extends to the club ranks, where she served as the team coach, private lessons director and co-director of setter training for the Lions/First Alliance Volleyball Club from 1998-2006.

During Keck's collegiate career, she spent two years as Auburn's starting setter and team captain before transferring to Illinois-Chicago in 2002. Keck had an immediate impact with the Flames, as she was named Horizon League Newcomer of the Year in 2002. She also set UIC's single-match hitting percentage record (.900), and currently ranks third on the school's all-time hitting percentage chart and sixth in total assists.

In 2004, Keck was named UIC Female Athlete of the Year and was awarded the NCAA Sportsmanship Award. An academic standout at both of her collegiate stops, she graduated in 2004 with a 3.9 grade-point average and a degree in marketing.
