NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion sailing team hosted the Aaron Szambecki Team Race and finished with three wins at the event, for a seventh place finish. On the first day, ODU earned wins over Tufts and Connecticut College and on Sunday added another win over the Connecticut College team.
The breeze was solid throughout the weekend, allowing for a double round-robin and a final four. St. Mary's College would win the event, going 16-1.
The Monarchs sailed with senior Michael Collins, junior Mikey Brown and sophomore Kyle Rogachenko skippered the event for ODU, while juniors Jaci Finney and Alissa Ayres, sophomore Michael Komar and freshman Kaitlyn Paulsen were crew.
