KING'S POINT, N.Y. -- The ODU co-ed sailors finished in 11th at the Admiral Cup this weekend, with a strong performance in B division powered by skipper Michael Brown and crew Ashley Pellerito. The pair finished 5th in B division with eight top five finishes and three victories over the weekend.
Brown and Pellerito tallied 155 total points in B division to help boost Old Dominion's finish to 11th overall. After 20 completed races, Brown and Pellerito finished among the top ten boats 13 times and were just 15 points behind the fourth place finishers.
In A division, sophomore Kyle Rogachenko and classmate Wilson Stout finished 10th. The tandem had one win on the first day and a third place effort on the day two. They finished among the top ten boats nine times.
The Admiral's Cup also featured a C division boat, in which sophomore Kevin Shockey piled up 204 points for an 11th place finish. He finished second in the third race, and was among the top ten finishers 12 times during the weekend.
