NORFOLK, VA--Bryan Cipolla (Plainview, NY.)knocked in five runs, Jimmy Miles (Orlando, FL.) had five hits and Anthony Shawler (Chesapeake, Va.) fanned ten batters in seven innings of work to lead Old Dominion to a 19-10 CAA win over James Madison Saturday. The victory ended ODU's (11-10/4-4) six-game losing streak. JMU is now 15-5 overall and 9-2 in the CAA.

ODU pounded out 16 hits on the day as Cipolla went three-for-six with five RBI and Jimmy Miles wne five-for-six and scored four times. Freshman catcher Edgar Hernandez (Luquillo, PR.) slammed a three-run homer, while Miles stole three more bases to raise his season total to 17.

Anthony Shawler, who picked up his third win of the season had two hits and knocked in two runs on the day. Max Most (Port Washington, NY.) also knocked in two runs, while Jake McAloose (Virginia Beach, Va.) and Chris Keenan (Chesapeake, Va.) each scored three times.

JMU was led by Steven Caseres who knocked in five runs on two homers. He hit a solo shot in the seventh and a grand slam in the eighth. Lee Bujakowski and Matt Browing each drove in two runs for the Dukes.

The third and final game of the series is Sunday at 2 p.m.
