RICHMOND, VA-- Old Dominion University freshman forward Ben Finney
(Portsmouth, VA.) averaged 14.5 points, 2.5 steals and 5.5 rebounds
last week and was named CAA Rookie of the Week.
Finney came off the bench to score a career high 20 points in the Monarchs, 70-58 win over Northeastern and contributed nine points and a team best five rebounds in the loss at UNC Wilmington Saturday.
For the week Finney shot 50.0 from the floor and dished out five assists.
Finney currently averages 7.2 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. He is
second on the team to Gerald Lee in rebounding. Finney is averaging 8.8 points per game in CAA contests.
He joins fellow freshman Darius James (Virginia Beach, VA.) as a CAA
Rookie of the Week honoree.
