Norfolk, Va. - The Monarchs of ODU completed a doubleheader sweep in men's tennis Friday night by defeating North Carolina Greensboro 6-1, hours after also earning a victory over Georgetown.

Playing as doubles partners for the first time, Dan Couzens and Timo Gehrke won 8-3 at No. 2, while brothers Matt and Riley King earned an 8-2 victory at No. 3 doubles to give ODU the doubles point.

In singles play the Monarchs won five of the six matches, with Yakov Diskin turning in a stellar performance at the No. 6 position where he blanked UNCG's Andrew Clark 6-0, 6-0. Eidy Igarashi, Tobias Fanselow and Rodrigo Souza all earned straight set victories for the Monarchs, while Alex Seleznev rebounded from a slow start to win 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 against Audrey Bubnov at the No. 1 singles position.

The Spartans only point on the night came with Yuroslav Litus' 7-5, 6-3 victory over Gehrke at the No. 4 singles position.
