Norfolk, Va. - Playing in its second match of the day, the Old Dominion University men's tennis team made short work of visiting Christopher Newport, as the Monarchs defeated the Captains 7-0 at the Folkes-Stevens Indoor Tennis Center.

The Monarchs won all three doubles matches and all six singles matches, five coming in straight sets. Playing in his first match at the No. 1 singles position, Eidy Igarashi defeated CNU's Eddie Glidewell 6-0, 6-3, while at No. 2 Tobias Fanselow was victorious over Jacob Braig by the same score.

ODU returns to the court on Friday, Feb. 8 when they'll host Elon at 1 p.m. and Temple at 7 p.m.
