COLTON/CANBY HIGH: Lettered four years for coach Eric Laittinen... Was on the state team for two years... Was All-League for the 200 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relay.... Also lettered for two years in cross country.

PERSONAL: Born in Oregon City, Ore... Majoring in education and HDFS and hopes to become an elementary school teacher... Parents are Kerry and Dee'Ann Benthin... Family includes sister Kaylee (15) and brother Kolby (6)...Interests are running, shopping and spending time with friends... Prep teammates are swimmers Morgan Scroggy at Georgia and Nicole Schuh at Idaho... Favorite movie of the summer is Batman... favorite book is The Perks of Being a Wallflower... In 10 years she hopes to be teaching at a school in Oregon... Biggest athletic thrill was state in 2007 when she set her personal record in the 200 relay... Chose to come to Oregon State because "it's close to home, a great campus and there are friendly people."
