Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific men's swimming team suffered a 164-95 loss to UC Santa Barbara in the Tigers final home meet of the season on Saturday, Feb. 2.
The Tigers were bested in 10 of the 14 events on Saturday as the No. 24 Gauchos took control early by winning four of the five.
After dropping the 200 Medley Relay, Pacific junior Matt Lundy (Lafayette, Colo.) got the Tigers back even as he claimed the 1,000 Free in 9:27.66.
Unfortunately Pacific's next win did not come until the 200 Fly, the sixth event of the day. Senior Krzysztof Zoldak (Oswiecim, Poland) nabbed the first of two events with a time of 1:51.83. Zoldak also won the 400 IM in the final individual event of the afternoon in 4:01.40.
The Tigers return to the pool on Wednesday, Feb. 20 as Pacific begins the four-day Big West Championships in Long Beach, Calif.
