Freshman David Gonzalez Earns Pacific's Competitor of the Month Award

Stockton, Calif. - Freshman David Gonzalez (Guayaquil, Ecuador) of the Pacific men's tennis team has received the Pacific athletic departments competitor of the month award for his performances throughout the month of February.
During the month, Gonzalez helped lead the Tigers, who are now 6-7 on the season, to a record of 4-3. David led the team by turning in a 7-0 record over the course of the month in singles play and recording a 5-2 mark throughout the month of February in doubles action.
Now, after the team's 13 matches thus far this year, Gonzalez is 11-2 in singles action playing at the No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4 positions and he is 6-6 in doubles competition playing mostly at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots with Moritz Starke (Bamberg, Germany) and Vegerd Veskimagi (Saka, Estonia).
The Tigers will next be in action on Mar. 27, when they take on DePaul at home. The matches will be played at the Hal Nelson Tennis Courts and will start at 1:00 p.m.
