Good afternoon Tiger fans! We wrapped up non-league play last week with a single game against Nevada on Thursday. We played a great game, but things just didn't seem to go our way. We played really tough defense throughout the game, but just couldn't seem to get the runs across the plate. We left a lot of runners stranded on base during the game, and that can be frustrating feeling. We just couldn't connect the hits together to get the runs.

Saturday (April 4) we opened our second conference series against Davis. In the first game we had a crucial error end up being the game winning run for the Aggies. Errors are really frustrating, but it is really important to try and flush your frustration as soon as possible because there is more game to play and more plays to be made. As hard as it is, you have to keep your head up!

The second game in the double header started off great, and with Casey starting the rally for us we got an early 3-0 lead in the first inning. I finally got a ball through their defense to score two runs. It felt so good! Scoring the runs first always takes a lot of pressure off the defense and pitcher because there is no feeling of having to catch up. Heidi Helberg, Chelsea Engle and I all threw in the second game to secure the win. It is a great feeling to be a part of a pitching staff that all back each other up and compliment each other in the circle.

On Sunday, we really played well. The defense was solid and with Chelsea doing her thing in the circle we had a great game! As a team we were swinging the bats really well that day. It is so much fun to play when everything just clicks together. It is a great feeling!

After the game we had three little league and travel club teams come and get our autographs. It's really cool to see the young girls come and watch us play, and it immediately reminds us of when we were that age and we went and watched college players. They were so cute, and we loved having them at our game! We leave this Friday for Riverside to continue our Big West play. I will write you all when I get back! GO TIGERS!
