The first weekend in February marked the last schedule-heavy weekend of the regular season for Patriot League swimmers and divers. The Navy duo of Adam Meyer and Tara Chapmon were named swimmers of the week, while the Army tandem of Greg Sievers and Lindsey Adao were named divers of the week.

Male Swimmer of the Week
Adam Meyer, Navy So., Bethesda, Md.
Meyer earns his sixth swimmer of the week award this season after yet another solid performance at the Navy Invitational this past weekend. Meyer finished first in the 400 IM (4:00.80), second in the 200 Fly (1:50.02) and third in the 200 Medley Relay (1:35.02).
Female Swimmer of the Week
Tara Chapmon, Navy So., Virginia Beach, Va.
Chapmon is recognized for the fourth time this season after her performance at the Navy Invitational last weekend. Chapmon swam to a second-place finish in the 100 Back (1:00.37), a fifth-place finish in the 100 Fly (1:01.01) and a third-place finish in the 200 Free Relay (1:39.39). The meet was the final tune-up for the women's team prior to the Patriot League Championship Meet at the end of February.
Male Diver of the Week
Greg Sievers, Army Sr., San Antonio, Texas
Sievers earns his third-consecutive diver of the week award, and fourth overall this season. The senior swept the boards in a meet at Colgate with Lafayette. His score of 312.10 on the three meter and 278.55 on the one-meter helped lead Army to two victories in the three-team meet.
Female Diver of the Week
Lindsey Adao, Army So., New City, N.Y.
Adao is named diver of the week for the second time in the past three weeks after sweeping the field at the Black Knights' tri-meet with Colgate and Lafayette. The sophomore tallied a score of 274.30 on the three meter and 256.15 on the one meter to win both events.
Honorable Mention
Zach Whitman, Colgate
Sr., Pittsford, N.Y.
Whitman helped the Raider men to a split with Lafayette and Army last week, as he recorded individual victories in the 100 Fly and 200 Fly, and a relay victory in the 400 Free Relay.
Patriot League Notebook
Regular-Season Finales
With the Patriot League Championship meet looming on the very near horizon, most teams have finished the regular-season portion of their schedule. There are several exceptions, however, as the Holy Cross and Navy men will both swim at least one more time prior to the championship. Holy Cross will take on Boston College on Tuesday, while Navy faces off against Princeton and Columbia on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major Poll
Several Patriot League swimming and diving teams have been recognized on the latest installment of the CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major Poll. The Navy men's swimming and diving team is currently ranked No. 6 in the poll, while the Army men and Bucknell men were ranked Nos. 14 and 24, respectively. The Navy women found themselves ranked No. 2 in the poll, while the Bucknell women are currently No. 16. The poll has four release dates throughout the course of the season: November 14 (pre-Invite), December 20 (post-invite), February 6 (pre-Conference) and March 6 (post-Conference).

Less Than Two Weeks Left...
The 2008 Patriot League Swimming and Diving Championship meet will take place Thurs. - Sat., Feb. 21-23 at Lejeune Hall on the campus of Navy. The meet will begin at 10 a.m. on each of the three days of competition.
Team Notebooks
American
The Eagles sent swimmers to the Navy Invitational this past weekend for one last tune-up before the Patriot League Championship meet. The women were led in the non-scoring meet by freshman Eleanor Clay, who placed fourth in the 200 Breast and fifth in the 100 Back. Leading the men was senior Joe Coronato, who placed fifth in the 100 Free.
Army
The Black Knights competed at the Colgate tri-meet with the Raiders and Lafayette last weekend. The diving tandem of Greg Sievers and Lindsey Adao once again carried the torch for Army, as they helped lead the men to two victories, while the women suffered two defeats. Jake Mentele aided the effort for the men as well, racking up two individual victories in the 100 Breast and the 200 IM, as well as a first-place finish in the 200 Medley Relay.
Bucknell
The Bison finished their regular-season schedule at the Navy Invitational last week. Sophomore David Iselin was the top finisher for the men, coming in fourth in the 1650 Free, while the women were led by sophomore Megan Mongan, who recorded a sixth-place finish in the 500 IM.
Colgate
Colgate hosted both Army and Lafayette last weekend, as they swept the Leopards and split with the Black Knights. Zach Whitman was the leader for the Raider men, as he turned in two individual victories (100 & 200 Fly), a fifth-place finish (100 Free) as well as being a part of the first place 400 Free Relay team. The women had several top finishers, including Lisa Marchi (200 Free), Beverly Walker (100 & 200 Back, 200 IM) and Emily Kelly (500 Free), just to name a few.
Holy Cross
The Crusaders earned a dual-meet sweep of Providence last weekend, as the men won 127-112 and the women won 145-97. The teams combined for 15 event victories during the meet. The men were led by senior Chris Smith, who had two individual victories to go along with a relay victory, while the women were paced by senior Andrea Doherty, who combined for two victories on the day.
Lafayette
The Leopards sent swimmers to Colgate and the Navy Invitational last weekend in the final events before the Patriot League Championships in a few weeks. Both the men and women had some strong performances at Colgate, as Jenn Nunn (1650 Free), Katie Kaczka (50 Free) and John Jenkins (100 Free) recorded individual victories for the `Pards.
Lehigh
The Mountain Hawks were idle from competition last week, and will return to action at the Patriot League Championship meet.
Navy
The Mids hosted the five-team Navy Invitational this past weekend. Outstanding performances were turned in by Adam Meyer for the men and Tara Chapmon for the women. Meyer placed first in the 400 IM, second in the 200 Fly and third in the 200 Medley Relay, while Chapmon was second in the 100 Back and fifth in the 100 Fly. The men have meets with Princeton and Columbia this week.
