March 12, 2008

Center Valley, Pa. - The Patriot League Men's Basketball Championship will be shown live on ESPN2 on Friday at 4:45 p.m., with Dave O'Brien and Bob Valvano handling the call of the contest between No. 3 seed Colgate and No. 1 American at Bender Arena in Washington, D.C.

The game can also be heard via SIRIUS satellite radio on channel 127, with veteran broadcaster Frank Santore on the call.

O'Brien will handle the play-by-play on the ESPN2 broadcast, with Valvano providing the color commentary. O'Brien does play-by-play for multiple sports on the ESPN networks. Valvano is a college basketball analyst for the ESPN networks during the season, and also hosts "The V Show" on ESPN Radio. He is the younger brother of former North Carolina State Head Coach Jim Valvano.

The contest can also be seen on ESPN360. The Championship game will mark the 10th appearance for Patriot League Men's Basketball on the ESPN family of networks this year. Holy Cross and Bucknell played a regular-season contest on ESPN2 on February 16, and there were eight regular-season games on ESPNU via the Patriot League's package with the network.
