Swimming and Diving Announces Performers of the Meet

PITTSBURGH-Following Pitt's 2007-08 home finale, Head Coach Chuck Knoles announce the select members of the swimming and diving team that were honored as Performers of the Meet, as the Panthers defeated Clarion, Denison, Duquesne and Carnegie Mellon (men only) and celebrated its 10 seniors.

Sophomore Allie Horvath (Oxford, Ohio/Badin) earned the distinction for the women. In the meet, Horvath swam to a lifetime best time in the 200 back, and earned her first collegiate dual meet individual win in that event.

For the men, it was junior B.J. Conklyn (Stroudsburg, Pa./Stroudsburg) earning the Performer of the Meet nod. Conklyn scored in both the 50 free and 100 breast swimming in-season best times, and was just shy of achieving lifetime bests.

The Panthers return to action on February 20th in Long Island, N. Y., as they seek their 29th overall Big East Title at the conference championships.
