RIVERSIDE, Calif.--Senior Leah Friedman earned her 99th career victory, as the University of Pittsburgh women's tennis team fell 6-1 to Cal-Riverside. The Panthers slipped to 3-5 on the season.

Friedman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Taylor Allderdice) was Pitt's lone singles winner, a she claimed her 99th career victory with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Yasaman Sakhakorn. She is now one win shy of becoming the 10th Panther to join the 100-Victory Club, and the third member from this season's squad.

In doubles action, junior Kristy Borza (Beaver, Pa./Beaver Area) and freshman Elizabeth Adams (Reading, Pa./Wilson) recorded an 8-2 victory over the No. 1 UC-Riverside team.

Borza tallied her 122nd win in the contest, chasing the 2007 school record of 126 career wins.

Remaining in California, Pitt faces San Diego at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
