The Providence College swimming & diving teams fell to Loyola College (Md.) on Saturday, October 20, at home in Providence, R.I. The final point tally for the men was 150-81, and the final for the women was 135-100, both favoring the Greyhounds.

Leading the way on the women's side for the Friars was freshman newcomer Alexis Fatigati (New Milford, N.J.). Fatigati finished first in the 200-meter freestyle with a final time of 2:14.57. She also swam to a third place finish in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 1:04.16.

For the men, yet another freshman had a strong showing. Jordan Emerick (Southington, Conn.) won both of the men's diving events on the day, capturing first place in both of the 1-meter diving events with scores of 125.85 in the first, and 163.27 in the second.

The Friar swimming & diving team's next meet is against intra-state rival the University of Rhode Island Rams on Wednesday, October 31, at 6:00 p.m. in Kingston, R.I.
