Providence, R.I. - The 2007-08 men's and women's swimming and diving schedules were announced on Tuesday, August 2 by head coach John O'Neill. O'Neill is entering his first year back as head coach of the Friars after having coached the Friars from the 1984-85 season through the 2000-2001season. The Friars will open the season at home versus Loyola College on October 20 in Taylor Natatorium. The Friars will have three more home meets including a November 7 match-up versus Fairfield, a January 19 meet versus Maine, and a women's meet versus Vermont on January 26.

After opening the season at home, the Friars will hit the road for two-consecutive meets versus instate rivals Bryant University, on October 20, and Rhode Island, on October 31. The Friars will travel back to Kingston, R.I. to take part in the Harold Anderson Invitational from November 30 through December 1, where they will compete against Fairfield, Holy Cross, Maine, and URI. Other road meets for the Friars include Montclair State (November 10), Holy Cross (February 2) as well as a men's meet versus Boston College (November 4).

The New England Invitational will be held on February 9 in Kingston, R.I., while the BIG EAST Championships will be held from February 21-23 in East Meadow, N.Y.
