PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College freshman forward Jordan Kremyr (Cloverdale, B.C.) was named Hockey East Co-Rookie of the Week on Monday, March 3. Kremyr becomes the first Friar to earn the league's Rookie of the Week honors since November 21, 2005 when Cody Wild earned the accolade.

Kremyr tallied a career-high two goals to lead the Friars to a 3-2 win at No. 8 Boston College on Friday, February 29 at Kelley Rink in Chestnut Hill, Mass. He scored the first two goals of the game as the Friars held on for their second win at Kelley Rink this season. It marks the first time since the 1995-96 season that the Friars have won twice at Kelley Rink.

The Friars, who are currently in a fourth-place tie in the Hockey East standings, are back in action on Thursday, March 6 when they host the Boston University Terriers, who are in a second-place tie. The two teams also will play Friday night in Boston with the game being aired live on NESN.
