WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Providence College men's soccer team was defeated, 2-0, at Georgetown Saturday afternoon in a BIG EAST Conference match. Two late goals sealed the win for the Hoyas, who improved to 3-7-0, including a 2-4-0 mark in the league. Providence fell to 5-4-1, 2-2-1 in the Conference.

After a scoreless first half, the Hoyas scored the only goal they would need in the 75th minute when Corey Zeller took advantage of a missed clear and netted his second goal of the season. Zeller struck again just under two minutes later when he converted a penalty kick to seal the victory.

Providence junior Timothy Murray (Haverhill, Mass.) finished with a season-high seven saves, while Matthew Brutto stopped three shots to earn the shutout.

The Friars are back in action on Wednesday, October 10 when they face the UConn Huskies in Storrs, Conn. at 7:00 p.m.
