PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College Men's Indoor Track team will compete in the 2008 IC4A Indoor Track and Field Championships at Boston University on Saturday, March 8th and Sunday, March 9th, while the Women's Indoor Track team will compete in the 2008 ECAC Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, Mass. on the same days.

The women will kick off Saturday's action when freshman Emily Perron (West Hartford, Conn.) runs in the one mile trials at 1:40 p.m. Following Perron's trial is junior Katie Elliot (Penfield, N.Y.) who will run in the 1000m trials at 3:10 p.m. The women will conclude Saturday's meet at the Reggie Lewis Center at 3:45 p.m. when junior Danette Doetzel (Macklin, Sask.) and senior Michelle Childs (Cameron, Ontario) run in the 5000m finals.

The men's team will compete in two races on Saturday at Boston University. The first one will be the 3000m at 3:00 p.m. when Smith, Webb, and Anderson run in the 3000m. Saturday will also feature the Distance Medley Relay team including McDermott, Dewey, Lourenco, and McLaren, who will run at 4:00 p.m.

On Sunday, Perron will run in the mile finals at 1:45 p.m. and Elliot will run in the 1000m finals at 2:25 p.m. The women will conclude Sunday's action when sophomore Breffini Twohig (Dublin, Ireland) and sophomore Krystal Douglas (Harpswell, Maine) run in the 3000m final at 2:45 p.m.

Senior Ahmed Haji (West Hartford, Conn.) will run in the 5000m on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. and the finals of the DMR will start at 1:50 p.m.
