PROVIDENCE, RI - The Providence College Men's and Women's track & field teams will compete in two meets this weekend, starting with the Mt. Sac Relays in Walnut, Calif. on Friday, April 18th and followed by the UConn Invitational on Saturday, April 19th in Storrs, Conn.

Racing in the 2008 Mt. Sac Relays for the men will be senior Max Smith (Dunedin, New Zealand) and sophomore Hayden McLaren (Christchurch, New Zealand), who will both run in the 1500m at approx. 6:28 P.M. The women's squad will consist of senior Michelle Childs (Cameron, Ontario), junior Katie DiCamillo (Garden City, N.Y.), junior Danette Doetzel (Macklin, Sask.), sophomore Krystal Douglas (Harpswell, Maine), and sophomore Breffini Twohig (Dublin, Ireland). All five female student-athletes will compete in the 5000m race set to start at 8:55 P.M.

This year's 2008 Mt. SAC Relays and Flotrack will be providing Live streaming coverage all weekend long. This will be the first time in US track and field history and quite possibly the world where the viewers at home will be able to interact with the play-by-play commentary while watching a race in real time.

Underneath the live video stream there will be a live blog where the audience can interact and contribute to the Mt. SAC Relays Flotrack coverage by asking questions, answering questions, getting lap splits, and much more while trying to win prizes.
