Urman, Hill Named Penn State- Student-Athletes of the Week

University Park, Pa. - Men's fencing's Arthur Urman (Maalot, Israel) and women's softball's Jackie Hill (San Jose, Calif.) have been named this week's Penn State Student-Athletes of the Week.

After 15 victories in round robin play, Urman capped off his senior year by capturing second place in the epee division in the NCAA Fencing Championships this past weekend at Ohio State.

The two-time All-American and one time honorable mention All-American, Urman finished his year with a 29-11 overall record in epee competition.

Hill had another tremendous week for the Nittany Lions as she went 3-1 with a team-leading 0.27 ERA. She had three complete games and two shutouts in her three starts and two relief appearances.

In the 25.2 innings, the pitcher only allowed one run. She recorded 11 strikeouts, two walks and she had a complete game two-hitter versus Sam Houston State. The red shirt freshman went 2-for-4 at the plate versus Chattanooga with a double and a run scored. She also earned Big Ten Pitcher of the Week, her first conference honor.
