Big Ten Women's Golf Championship at the Blue Course this Weekend
All 11 Big Ten women's golf teams will compete on Penn State's Blue Course for the Big Ten Championship Friday through Sunday, April 25-27. Go to championship central for more information. The Championship will be televised on the Big Ten Network on May 13th at 8 p.m.
EIVA Men's Volleyball Finals and Semifinals
Rec Hall will once again play host to the EIVA Championship on Thursday and Saturday, April 24 and 26. Penn State earned a bye in the league quarterfinals as the top seed. The winner of the EIVA championship earns the league's automatic berth in the NCAA National Collegiate Championship Semifinal held at UC Irvine on Thursday, May 1.

Gymnast Sandy Captures NCAA All-Around Championship
Big Ten Gymnasts of the Year and All-Around champion Casey Sandy added the NCAA all-around title to his resume with a total score of 91.350 last Friday night at Stanford. With the title, Sandy became Penn State's NCAA record 15th all-around champion and the Nittany Lions' first since 2005. Sandy is the first Nittany Lion to win both the Big Ten and NCAA all-around crowns in the same year. Penn State placed fourth in the team finals with a score of 357.650. Record Crowd of over 70,000 on Hand for Blue and White
A record crowd of 73,000 fans
turned out for the annual Blue-White game on April 19. The estimated crowd eclipsed last year's record of 71,000. The Blue Team claimed a 27-14 victory and quarterbacks Darryl Clark and Pat Devlin combined for 166 yards and three touchdowns. The Blue-White Game will air on the Big Ten Network on Monday, April 21 at 8:00 p.m. ET, Wednesday, April 23 at noon and 11:00 p.m. ET and Tuesday, April 29 at 1:00 p.m. ET. The Nittany Lions open their season on August 30 vs. Coastal Carolina at Beaver Stadium.
Men's Tennis Earns No. 5 Seed for Big Ten Championships
The men's tennis team clinched the No. 5 seed for the Big Ten Men's Tennis Championship in Iowa City as they defeated Indiana over the weekend. The Nittany Lions will face No. 4 seed Michigan Friday April 24. Michigan leads the all-time series between the two schools, 15-5, though the two schools have split the last four meetings. Penn State also earned the No. 5 seed last season, falling to No. 4 seed Wisconsin. This year's tournament features all 11 Big Ten teams in action competing in 10 matches over four days.
Trio of Primetime Football Games in `08
The Nittany Lions' contests versus Illinois (Sept. 27), at Wisconsin (Oct. 11), and at Ohio State (Oct. 25) have been set for primetime 8 p.m. starts on national TV. Additionally Penn State's 89th Homecoming game against Michigan (Oct. 18) will kick off at 4:30 p.m. Penn State's
three primetime games are the most of any Big Ten team for the 2008 season. The Nittany Lions have won 31 of their last 40 games, tied for eighth-best in the nation over that span. This season will mark head coach
Joe Paterno's 43rd, as his team returns 16 starters.
