Santa Clara Men's Tennis Defeated by Sacramento State

March 9, 2008

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The Santa Clara men's tennis team fell to Sacramento State, 7-0, at the Degheri Tennis Center. Junior Kenzo Hirakawa-Wong who played at the No. 2 singles position, was the last match on the court of the day. After falling in the first set 7-6 to Sacramento States No.121 ranked Kiryl Harbatsiuk, Hirakawa-Wong battled back behind the cheers of his teammates and the fans, but it was not enough and he eventually fell 7-6 in the second set.

The Broncos fell in all doubles and singles matches.

Santa Clara resumes action on Saturday March 15, at 10:00 a.m., when they host Texas-San Antonio at the Degheri Tennis Center.
