The Sacred Heart Pioneer men's golf team finished the first round of play in the Palmas Del Mar Intercollegiate tournament on Monday afternoon, shooting a 36-hole score of 607. SHU heads into the final day 10th in the field of 13 teams at The Flamboyan Huaracoa in Puerto Rico.

Sacred Heart senior Patrick Fillian (Tinton Falls, NJ) is in 8th place heading into the final round but is just four strokes out of the lead. Fillian fired a one-under 71 over the first 18 holes and a 73 during his second round for 144.
