COLUMBUS, OH (May 17, 2008) - Sacred Heart junior Patrick Fillian (Tinton Falls, NJ) finished in a tie for 20th place overall after carding a three-round score of 224 (76-71-77) at the NCAA Central Regional at Ohio State University. Making their first-ever apperance in the NCAA's, the Pioneers finished with a three-day score of 950 on the Scarlet Course.

Fillian shot a 77 on the final day of play in the 54-hole event to register an impressive showing in his first NCAA tournament. Earlier in the week, Fillian was named the Northeast Conference Golfer of the Year as he wraps up the 2007-08 season with his seventh top-20 finish.

Sophomore Adam Petrasovic (Tecumseh, Ontario) finished with a three-day total of 237 (78-76-83) while junior Kevin Lauretti (Newington, CT) shot 243 (80-82-81) and junior Matt Belizze (North Salem, NY) shot 246 (82-82-82).

Wake Forest won the event with three-round score of 879 while Oklahoma State's Kevin Tway won the individual title with a 214 (70-69-75). Wake Forest, Oklahoma State, Illinois, Florida, Louisville, Alabama, Texas A&M, Kent State, Penn State and Indiana all finished in the top-10 and will move on to the NCAA Championship. James Sacheck (TCU) won a two-hole playoff with Charles Ford (Tennessee) to earn the second individual spot to the NCAA championships. Derek Tolan (Colorado) also advanced as an individual.
