FAIRFIELD, Conn. (June 16, 2007) - Sacred Heart senior Arman Dixon was named a 2008 Division I Outdoor Track & Field All-American in the 400 meters after competiting at the at the NCAA Outdoor Championships at Drake University over the weekend. The Division I Outdoor All-America Team was announced Monday by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Dixon advanced to the semifinals of the 400 meters running 46.42 seconds last Wednesday. He just missed advancing into the finals with a ninth place showing in the semifinals on Friday night, clocking in at 46.27 seconds.

He led the Pioneers to their first ever Northeast Conference Track and Field titles both indoor and outdoor this season, claiming meet MVP honors at both events. Dixon ends his career a five-time NEC MVP with a pair of All-America honors on his collegiate resume.
