Danbury, CT - Kelly Welsh took home two event wins and swam on the winning 200 medley relay team to help lead the Sacred Heart swimming team to a 134-100 victory over Western Connecticut State in dual meet action Friday.

Welsh was the only double winner for Sacred Heart with first place finishes in the 50-yard backstroke (32.56) and the 50-yard butterfly (31.75). Welsh also swam the lead-off leg of the Pioneers' victorious 200-yard medley relay.

Sacred Heart's other individual winners were Johannah Kos (Feeding Hills, MA) in the 400-yard individual medley (4:43.83), Molly McDonald (Sag Harbor, NY) in the 200-yard freestyle (2:03.96), Jacqueline Sweeney (Rockville Center, NY) in the 50-yard freestyle (28.17), Katie Marshall (Cumberland, RI) in the 100-yard freestyle (58.33), Adriana Morgan (Poughkeepsie, NY) in the 500-yard freestyle (5:35.66), and Taylor Sullivan (Stoughton, MA) in the 100-yard individual medley (1:06.85).

The Pioneers will take the next two weeks to prepare for the Northeast Conference Championships which will be held at Yale University from February 14-16.
