Women's Basketball To Host Think Pink And Father-Daughter Nights

Feb. 5, 2008

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Samford women's basketball team will host a Father-Daughter Night for its game against Morehead State on Feb. 14, and a Think Pink Night for its game against Eastern Kentucky on Feb. 16.

For the Father-Daughter Night, fathers are invited to bring their daughters to the game. Each father-daughter pair will have the opportunity to participate in a halftime promotion, and they can enter a drawing to win a dozen roses, which will be delivered to the daughter by Samford's mascot, Spike.

The Think Pink Night is to support Breast Cancer awareness. All fans who wear pink to the game will receive $4 off the admission price. Twenty percent of all ticket revenue will be donated to V.I.R.T.U.E. Inc. At halftime of the Feb. 16 game, breast cancer survivors will be honored.

For more information on these special nights, please contact Leslie Snellman at 205-726-2907.
