NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Samford senior guard Taryn Towns was named to the All-Tournament Team for the Ohio Valley Conference Women's Basketball Tournament on Saturday.

In two games in the tournament, Towns averaged 17.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game. She shot 57.9 percent (11-of-19) from the floor and 83.3 percent (5-of-6) from three-point range in the two games. Towns was also 8-of-8 from the free-throw line in Samford's two tournament games.

In Friday's semifinal game against eventual champion Murray State, Towns scored a career-high 19 points, pulled down seven rebounds and dished out five assists.

In Tuesday's first-round win over Eastern Kentucky, Towns had 16 points, three rebounds and six assists.

For her career, Towns ranks in the top 10 in Samford history in points, rebounds, assists, free throws made, three-pointers made, field goals made, games started and games played.
