KENNESAW, Ga. --- The Samford women's golf team continues spring play with the inaugural Larry Wilson Collegiate Invitational Golf Tournament hosted by Kennesaw State, in partnership with the Gwinnet Sports Commission, at Chateau Elan in Braselton Ga., this Monday and Tuesday, March 31 - April 1. The two-day event features a total of 24 men's and women's teams from conferences across the nation.

The women's field includes 17 teams from seven conferences. Four teams come out of the Atlantic Sun and the Sun Belt, with Belmont, Gardner-Webb, Mercer and host team Kennesaw State from the A-Sun and Louisiana-Monroe, No. 103 South Alabama, Troy and Western Kentucky representing the Sun Belt. Austin Peay and Tennessee State join Samford in representing the Ohio Valley Conference while No. 64 Chattanooga and Wofford come from the Southern Conference along with No. 106 Central Arkansas and Nicholls State from the Southland Conference. South Dakota State and Daytona Beach Community College will also compete in the women's field.

Women's tournament play began Monday morning with an 8 a.m. shotgun start at the Chateau Course. Teams will place 36 holes on Monday and 18 in Tuesday's final round.
