Samford Volleyball Host Spring Finale Saturday :: Bulldogs will host tri-match to end spring workouts

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ---- The Samford University volleyball team will host a tri-match Saturday, April 26, in the Pete Hanna Center to wrap up workouts for the 2008 spring season. The Bulldogs have invited two Alabama schools - Alabama State and Birmingham-Southern - to participate in a day of scrimmaging.

The day will consist of two sessions including three matches each. The matches will be two games to 25. The first session begins at 9 a.m. with a match between Samford and cross-town rival Birmingham-Southern followed by Samford versus Alabama State at 10 a.m. An 11 a.m. match between Alabama State and Birmingham-Southern wraps up the first session.

The second session has the same line-up with matches beginning at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Admission is free.
