The USF Track and Field teams had athletes competing in the first day of Stanford Invitational today in Palo Alto at Cobb Track. Junior Michelle Born set a new school record in the women's 5000m with a time of 17:16.74, beating the old school record by two in a half seconds and finishing seventh in her section race. "Michelle ran a very patient and smart race," said Head Coach Helen Lehman-Winters. "She really showed a lot of potential today." Also competing at Stanford on Friday was sophomore A.J.
