Complete UNLV Spring Rebel Invitational Day Two Results in PDF Format
(Las Vegas) - USF women's golf shot its lowest round of the season for the second consecutive day posting a 290 in round two of the 2008 UNLV Spring Rebel Invitational Tuesday at the Boulder Creek Golf Club. The Dons enter final round action on Wednesday in fourth place on the par-72 course playing at 6,204 yards. Washington State leads the event with a two-under 574 (285, 289), followed by BYU at 577 (293, 284), Texas Tech at 578 (292, 286), San Francisco at 581 (291, 290) and Oregon rounds out the top five at 583 (292, 291). Sophomore Christina Stockton shares third place on the leader board with 36 holes in the books at 141 (69, 72) after shooting even par on Tuesday. Senior Jessica Potter turned in the best round of the day for USF with a two-under 70, vaulting into a share of 10th place at 141 (73, 70). Sophomore Danielle Cvitanov shares 29th plce at 148 (73, 75). "Today was another good round for us," USF head coach Ria Quiazon said. "We made some good adjustments. Now we just have to maintain our focus and finish strong in a very solid field." Stockton carded a team-high six birdies, while Potter led the way with 17 holes at par or better, finishing with just one bogey on the day. Sophomore Natasha Podmore recorded 15 holes at par or better with three birdies. USF returns to action Wednesday in final round action. Live scoring is available at GolfStat.com.
