SFA Finishes Off Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas - The Stephen F. Austin men's and women's track and field team finished off the Texas Relays Saturday afternoon in three final events. The 'Jacks' had senior Justin Reyes competing in the high jump, and seniors Johnny Thacker, Stephon Rhea and Sumbo Adeniran and freshman Ty Thomas competing in the 4x200-meter relay, while the Ladyjacks sent Kelia Crawford, Arteria Sterns, Alecia Green and Katrina Roundtree to the track in the women's 4x200-meter relay.

Reyes cleared a height of 6-8.75 in the high jump to finish seventh overall. The 'Jacks' 4x200-meter relay team clocked a time of 1:25.35 to finish seventh in the men's 4x200-meter relay.

The Ladyjacks' closed out the meet in the women's 4x200-meter relay. The SFA women crossed the finish line 14th overall with a time of 1:39.18.

SFA returns to action Saturday, April 12 when the will travel to Walnut, Calif., for the Mt. SAC Relays, and Natchitoches, La., for the Northwestern State Invitational.
