SFA To Help Fans Get To San Antonio To Support Ladyjacks

Nov. 12, 2007

NACOGDOCHES, Texas - When the Ladyjack volleyball team heads to San Antonio this weekend in search of another Southland Conference Tournament title, there will be an opportunity for fans and students to make the trip as well. The SFA Athletic Department, in conjunction with Student Activities, will be providing a bus to transport fans and students to the event.

The bus will leave from the commuter parking lot at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday in time to arrive in San Antonio for the Ladyjacks semifinal match scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Pending a Ladyjack win, fans will stay overnight and through the championship match at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Hotel and the bus ride itself are free of charge to all riding; however, patrons must provide their own food and tickets for the matches themselves.

There is currently a sign-in sheet located at the front desk of the Athletics Fieldhouse at the north end of Homer Bryce Stadium. Also, interested parties can contact Kay Custer at (936)469-1018 for more information. Seats will be issued on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The Ladyjacks clinched their fourth consecutive Southland Conference title on Saturday, and are the reigning SLC Tournament champions. SFA will be the No. 2 overall seed facing the host, UT-San Antonio, in first-round action on Friday and would play the winner of UT-Arlington and Northwestern State in the semifinals.
