IRVING, Texas - Twenty-four South Carolina men's soccer players have earned recognition from Conference USA for their outstanding academic performances for the 2007-08 school year, the league office announced on Wednesday. Carolina's achievements were highlighted by the effort of six student-athletes who received the Commissioner's Academic Medal, earning a 3.75 cumulative GPA or higher throughout their career. Freshmen Sam Arthur, Jimmy Maurer and Will Traynor, sophomores Trey Foster and Cory Lewis and senior Daniel Upchurch each earned the Academic Medal.

Carolina saw 24 of its student-athletes achieve a 3.20 cumulative GPA or higher to earn Academic Honor Roll accolades.
