SAN DIEGO - San Diego State head football coach Chuck Long was back on the field Wednesday as the Aztecs practiced for more than two-and-a-half hours on the SDSU practice fields.

It was the first practice back for the Aztec coach following the death of his father, Charles, on Monday. Long will remain in San Diego for the practices this week on Friday and Saturday, before returning to Illinois on Saturday night for Monday's memorial service.
