Aztec Women's Basketball Postseason Awards Banquet Slated For April 23

April 23 - Aztec Basketball Awards Banquet Information in PDF Format Get Acrobat Reader

The San Diego State women's basketball team will cap its record-setting 2007-08 campaign on Wednesday, April 23, at the Aztecs' annual postseason awards banquet. The event will be held for the first time at the Hilton Mission Valley, beginning with a reception at 6 p.m., and followed by dinner and the awards program starting at 6:30 p.m.

The banquet will feature SDSU head coach Beth Burns and all 13 players, including seniors Shannon Clay, Shanna Demus, Kate Eveland and Tamika Lipford.

Tickets are just $50 per person with options to sponsor a student-athlete (additional $50) and purchase a table of nine plus one student-athlete ($500). Fans are asked to buy their tickets in advance by Friday, April 18, by calling the Aztec Athletic Foundation at 619-594-6444.

The SDSU women's basketball team completed a break-out season by becoming the highest seed to advance to the Mountain West Conference championship game in league history. The 2007-08 Aztecs posted their best-ever MWC regular-season finish, logged their most-ever MWC wins and recorded their most season victories in over a decade.
