Fayetteville, Ark. - Miles Smith lost his duel with NCAA indoor 400-meter champion Andretti Bain of Oral Roberts and ended up third in the John McDonnell Invitational at the University of Arkansas.

Bain won in 45.38 with Tabarie Henry of Barton County second in 45.52. Smith, who will run in the invitational 400-meters at the Drake Relays this week, timed 45.67.

Long jumper John Berry was third at Arkansas with a jump of 7.66-meters while javelin thrower Ben Stricklin was sixth with a throw of 59.66-meters.

The Southeast women's track team had four fourth place finishes. Linnea Woldvedt was fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 12:31.37, Samanths Espiricueta was foruth in the javelin with a throw of 44.72-meters and both the 4 X 100 and 4 X 400 meter relay teams finished fourth.
