Miles Smith Runs on CSTV

Des Moines, Ia. - A national television audience on CSTV will watch four-time All-American Miles Smith of Southeast Missouri State compete in the semi-finals of the 400-meters at the NCAA Track & Field championships on Friday.

Smith will run in a talent laden first heat of the semi-finals with the top three in each of two heats plus the next two fastest times advancing to the Saturday finals that will be nationally televised on CBS. Saturday's 400-meter final is scheduled for 3:12 p.m. at Drake Stadium.

The first heat of eight on Friday will include Lionel Larry of Southern California who has the fastest time in the nation this season and Jordan Boase of Washington who has the second fastest time. It also includes Mississippi State freshman O'Neal Bradley who had the fastest qualifying time in Wednesday's first round.

Smith will run in lane two. He had the 13th fastest qualifying time of 46.65 with a seasonal best of 45.87. Smith has a career best of 45.16.
