Southeast Releases 2008 Football Schedule

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri State University released its 2008 football schedule Tuesday. The 12-game season will include six home contests at Houck Stadium and a road game at the University of Missouri, the defending Cotton Bowl champions. The Tigers are ranked in the top five in numerous pre-season polls.

The Redhawks will open up on Thursday, August 28 with a 6 p.m. home game against Division II Southwest Baptist. They will compete at Mizzou on September 6. Start time is yet to be determined. Ohio Valley Conference action begins at home on September 13 versus Tennessee Tech. SEMO will host in-state rival Missouri State on September 20 during Family Weekend.

Southeast will play three straight road games at Indiana State, Jacksonville State and Eastern Illinois on September 27, October 4 and October 18.

The Homecoming game will be on October 25 with a 1 p.m. kickoff against Tennessee State.

They will also host Eastern Kentucky on November 1 and Tennessee-Martin on November 15 for Senior Day. They will play at Murray State on November 8 and conclude the season at Austin Peay on November 22.
