ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Redhawks tennis team fell to the Billikens Sunday afternoon at the Sunset Tennis Center by a score of 7-0. This was the team's first match in over a week due to inclement weather, including ice and snow. Southeast now falls to 2-4 on the season with SLU improving their record to 6-5.

In singles play, senior Bryce Kristal fell short to Hailee Elmore 7-5, 6-2 in No. 1 action. Also, sister Drew Kristal was edged 6-3, 6-3 in her match against Amanda Hellberg in the No. 2 slot. In the No. 3 spot, junior Julia Masotti was defeated by Casey Miller 6-3, 6-2. Sophomore Alyce Kelly went down to Joe Becker 6-2, 6-4 in No. 4 play, with No. 5 sophomore Elise Nattier battling her opponent, Tara Grant, to three sets before finally falling 7-5, 5-7, 10-2 in her match. Finishing up the lineup, No. 6 freshman Taylor Orahood dropped her match to Rachel McCullagh 6-2, 6-0.

In doubles action, Bryce and Drew Kristal succumbed to Hellberg and Miller in No. 1 play by a score of 8-5. The No. 2 and 3 teams for Southeast, Masotti/Kelly and Nattier/Orahood, both were defeated by identical scores of 8-1 to Elmore/Becker and McCullagh/Grant.

Southeast will play its opening home match today against Murray State, which was rescheduled from last Thursday, March 6. The Redhawks will look to win their second consecutive OVC match as they compete today.
